QUALITY POLICY

In order to highlight the value of our organization and better respond to the challenges of salt production, we decided to structure a Quality Management System across all of our activities and subsidiaries. We are therefore implementing a Group Quality Policy, based on the specific characteristics of our activity. We have already established a framework detailing the best practices and expectations of the company in terms of harvesting, processing, transport, and storage of salt, to which we are very attached. For us, quality is part of our values. Our quality policy aims to respond to several major challenges declared in the commitment of General Management :

1) CUSTOMER FOCUS :

Satisfy and anticipate customers’ needs in terms of quality, deadlines and services. We focus our attention on the dialogue with them by carrying out regular surveys. A complaints management process has also been put in place to improve customer relations.

2) A QUALITY-FOCUSED MANAGEMENT :

General Salt, Sotusel and Sosasel management is focused on quality. All the processes, procedures and activities, lead toward a common performance goal. Our quality approach integrates all levels of the organization: the management provides leadership andrequired resources for an optimal application of the quality management system, employees contribute to the control of the operational processes to ensure the achievement of all Goals.

3) EMPLOYEES INVOLVMENT :

To create value, we ensure that our employees are proficient, skilled, motivated and involved at all levels, through an encouraging social climate, motivating working conditions, appropriate training and manageable processes. The satisfaction of our employees, their commitment and their adherence to the values of our organization are a strategic priority to ensure a high level of performance.

4) PLANNED QUALITY THROUGH PLANNED PROCESSES :

The process approach is central to our quality approach. All activities and their related resources are managed according to planned systemic processes. Production activities are planned and carried out under controlled conditions, then measured and monitored to ensure that the salt complies with international requirements.

5) CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT :

We are continuously looking for a high level of performance. We have implemented a reaction process to face internal and external conditions changes: global warming, increasingly stringent customers’ requirements, environmental considerations, economic and social context… Our success is based on our constant desire for improvement and our effective capacity to implement this process. The group is currently proceeding with ISO 9OO1 V2O15 and ISO 22OOO V2O18 certification for its three companies (Sotusel, Sosasel and General Salt).

6) TRACEABILITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT :

In an increasingly demanding quality and food safety context, we have set up internal specifications to guarantee the traceability and hygiene of our products, at all stages of harvesting and processing up to sales. Registration documents and physical identification allow the product to be identified and traced throughout the process.

7) SUPPLIERS :

Within its same quality and performance approach, the group has opted for suppliers and service providers who apply high quality standards. We have developed several lasting partnerships with carriers, equipment suppliers, additive suppliers and other service providers with a « win-win » perspective.

8) SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT :

Environmental compliance has always been a major concern for the group. Our employees act accordingly, taking care to preserve all of the resources used and to minimize the risk of pollution or contamination. Located near the great sites of Sebkhet Sidi El Hani (Sousse) and Chott El Jérid (Tozeur), the saltworks are insured and maintained to protect the unique natural heritage.

9) PRODUCTS SAFETY :

The group is committed to ensuring salt quality that meets international standards and to developing best practices to meet hygiene and food safety requirements through rigorous procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Our salt is under ISO 22.OOO V2O18 certification.
