The de-icing salt is the ideal and most cost-efficient solution to ensure winter road maintenance and keep all kinds of surfaces safe and secure during snowfall or ice storms. It melts ice or snow accumulated on sidewalks, parking lots, pavements and airport runways by lowering the freezing point of water below the surface temperature. Our bulk de-icing salts are perfectly adapted to the methods of use and internal standards of each country. Some markets require a mixture of fine and coarse salt, as the fine salts provide an immediate melting effect while coarse salts guarantee the long-term effect required on thicker layers of snow and ice. Other markets only require coarse salts. GSC provides high-purity de-icing salts that are easy to store and handle by including an anti-caking agent (ferrocyanide).
